Abstract

Employee performance in the Communication, Information and Statistics Service is based on the performance produced by employees in accordance with their duties and responsibilities in quality and quantity to achieve organizational goals. The general objective of the Communication and Statistics Service is to improve communication and information technology facilities and infrastructure that support regional government and provide the best service to the community. Respondents' gender, age, highest level of education and work experience were collected for research data analysis using the Self Esteem and Self Efficacy methods. The results of testing the sixth hypothesis, obtained from the results of SmartPLS 3.0 calculations, show that the magnitude of the influence of Self Esteem as an Intervening Variable on employee performance and job satisfaction is -0.351. With a significance of 0.05, the t-statistic (4.667) is greater than the t-table (1.658). Thus, it can be concluded that self-efficacy has no impact on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable (H6 is accepted). On the other hand, self-esteem has a negative and significant impact on employee performance. Based on the results of testing the seventh hypothesis, obtained from the SmartPLS 3.0 calculation results, it shows that the magnitude of the influence of Self Efficacy on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable is -0.188, with the t-statistic (-0.279) smaller than the t-table (1.658) , so it is not significant 0.05. Thus, job satisfaction as an intervening variable does not influence employee performance through self-efficacy (H7 is rejected). Keywords: Self Esteem, Self Efficacy, Employee Performance, Job Satisfaction
