Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the influence of the work environment, rewards and punishment on the performance of Bank Kerinci Sungai Penuh employees. The data used is primary data obtained from respondents to fill out the questionnaire. The population and sample are 30 Bank Kerinci employees. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis. With the following research results: 1. The work environment has no partial effect on performance, as evidenced by the significant value of 0.60 > 0.05 while tcount < ttable (1,768 < 2,056). So from this conclusion, Ho is accepted and H1 is rejected, meaning that the work environment does not have a significant effect on performance. 2. Rewards have a partially positive and significant effect on performance, as evidenced by the significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 while the tcount > ttable (3,325 > 2,056). So from this conclusion, Ho is rejected and H2 is accepted, meaning that rewards have a significant influence on performance. 3. Punishment has a positive and partially significant effect on performance, as evidenced by the significant value of 0.35 < 0.05 while the tcount > ttable (2,630 > 2,056). So from this conclusion, Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted, meaning that punishment has a significant influence on performance. 4. Work environment (X1), rewards (X2) and punishment (X3) simultaneously influence performance (Y). This is evident from the F test results showing that the significant value is 0.000 < 0.05 while Fcount > Ftable (35.582 > 3.35). This means that work environment variables, reward and punishment simultaneously have a significant influence on performance. 5. The R-square value of 0.227 indicates that the influence of the independent variable (X) simultaneously on the dependent variable (Y) is 22.7%, while the remaining 77.3% is influenced by other factors not explained in this research.
