Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of the Role of the Processing Industry Sector on the Economy of Kerinci Regency in 2015-2020. (1) Based on the results of the analysis of the Growth Rate in the Processing Industry Sector of Kerinci Regency from 2015-2020, it tends to fluctuate (tends to go up and down). The Growth Rate in the Manufacturing Industry Sector in 2015 was 0% and in 2016-2019 it successively increased by 1.93% for 2016, 2.38% in 2017, 2.41% in 2018, because in 2019 the subsector in the processing industry sector increased, especially in the textile and clothing industry, the growth rate in the processing industry also increased dramatically by 4.06%, then due to covid-19 in 2020 the Growth Rate in the Manufacturing Industry Sector decreased to -0.09%. (2) The contribution of the Processing Industry Sector to the Economy of Kerinci Regency in the observation period, namely 2015-2020, has decreased every year. Where the highest contribution in 2015 was 3.24%, and in 2020 it contributed the lowest at 2.81%. Keywords: Processing Industry Sector.
