Abstract
ANALYSIS OF LEADING SECTORS AND ECONOMIC POTENTIAL IN KERINCI DISTRICT Demo Andika Putra Hj. Masrida Zasriati, S.E.,M,Si Rio Baviga, S.E.,M.Ak Study ProgramEconomic development Sakti Alam Kerinci School of Economics, Sungai Penuh ABSTRACT This study aims to find out: 1) Which sector is the leading sector in Kerinci Regency in 2011-2021. 2) What is the economic potential of the leading sector in Kerinci Regency in 2022-2027. The type of research used in this study is a type of quantitative research. The data used in this study is by using secondary data through the Website of BPS Indonesia, Jambi Province, and BPS Kerinci Regency. The data taken are Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by business field during the 2011-2020 time series and other data relevant to this research. Location Quotient Analysis and Projection Analysis calculation techniques. Based on the results of the study indicate that: Based on the LQ analysis of 17 sectors according to business fields in Kerinci Regency based on the basis of constant prices in 2011-2021, it shows that which are the leading sectors there are 10 sectors that have an average LQ value > 1 and 7 sectors that are not leading sector. Based on the projection of the leading sector of ADHK GRDP in the coming year (2022-2027) in Kerinci Regency according to employment (Billion Rupiah) it has increased every year starting from 2022 by 7,958.76 in 2023 rising to 10,665.5. Then in 2024 it will be 15,007.44 and in 2025 it will be 22,172.82, in 2026 it will increase to 34,397.32 and in 2027 it will increase by 56,029.61. And the largest sectors are in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors Keywords: Leading Sector, Economic Potential
