Abstract

ABSTRAK this research is motivated by the important role of the agricultural sector as amajor contributor to kerinci regency's gross regional domestic product (GRDP), as well as the tourism sector's continued growth in line with the increasing number of tourist visits to various natural and cultural destinations.both sectors are considered to have significant potential to drive regional economic growth by increasing community income,creating jobs,and strengthening local economic activity.the purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of the influence of the agricultural and tourism sector on the kerinci regency economy and to determine the contribution of each sector in driving the regional economy.this study uses a quantitative descriptive method utilizing secondary data obtained from the central statistics agency (BPS) of kerinci regency for 2010-2024. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the influence of the agricultural sector (X1) and tourism sector (X2) on GRDP (Y). The result show that the agricultural sector has a significant influence on the economy of kerinci regency with a contribution of 90.31%. menwhile the tourism sector contributes 9.22% and has no significant partial influence. However,simultanrously,both sector have a significant influence on GRDP with a coefficient of determination of 99.6%. this finding indicates that agriculture remains the dominant sector, but tourism has the potential to increase economic value through the development of agrotourism and strengthening regional tourist destinations.the conclusion of this study is that the kerinci regency economy is heavily influenced by the agricultural sector,while the tourism sector plays a complementary role that can be further enhanced. Synergy between the two sector is needed to drive economic growth and improve the well-being of the local community. Keywords:agriculture,tourism,regional economy,GRDP,kerinci
