Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims were to analyze the position of agricultural , forestry, and fishing subsectors; to analyze the shift in the growth of the agricultural, forestry and fishing sub-sector ; and to analyze the leading sub-sevtor in the agricultural , forestry and fishing in the economy structure of Muaro Jambi district. The analytical tools in this research were Klassen Typology (KT) analysis, Location Quotients (LQ). The KT analysis showed that Muaro Jambi district has the potencial to grow economically in the agricultural forestry, and fishing sectors in North Provinsi Jambi. The LQ analysis suggested that the leading sub-sectors in Muaro Jambi district include food crops,annual plantations; livestock agricultural services hunting and fisheris Muaro Jambi. Keywords: Agricultural sector ,Economic Potential, Klassen Typology,Location Quotient ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis posisi setiap subsektor pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan dan menganalisis pergeseran pertumbuhan sektor pertanian, serta menganalisis subsektor yang menjadi unggulan dalam ekonomi pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan, pada struktur perekonomian di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 (dua) analisis yaitu typology klassen (TK), loqation quetient (LQ). Analisis TK menunjukkan bahwa Kabupaten Muaro Jambi termasuk daerah yang mempunyai potensi untuk berkembang dan tumbuh secara ekonomi dalam sektor pertanian di Provinsi Jambi. Analisis LQ menunjukkan bahwa pada subsektor pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan, merupakan subsektor unggulan dan sektor yang mampu berkembang secara cepat di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi.
